Book: I Went Walking by Sue Williams

Questions: 

How did the child in this book feel when he saw the cat? How do you know?

How did the child in this book feel when he saw the dog? How do you know?

Why do you think the animals followed the child?


Activity: have children play a game where they walk around the house and name a few things that they see. If the items are small and light have them collect the items and count how many items they collected.

What shapes do you see?

What color are the shapes?


Activity: cut shapes out from construction paper. Have children put the shapes together too make themselves. Have children point out what she is being used for what body part. EX. circle for head, triangle for feet exc.
