How did the child in this book feel when he saw the cat? How do you know?

How did the child in this book feel when he saw the dog? How do you know?

Why do you think the animals followed the child?


Activity: have children play a game where they walk around the house and name a few things that they see. If the items are small and light have them collect the items and count how many items they collected.

Activity: Math have children compare and contrast things around the house. 


Wednesday

Book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? By Bill Martin Jr & Eric Carle

Activity: have the children match the crayons to the color of the animals and then color them. 


Thursday 

Book: Different? Same! by Heather Tekavec

Activity: Write the child's name with glue and have children use button, scraps of paper, pom poms to design their name. 


Friday 

Book: Corduroy by Don Freeman

Activity: Have children make a Corduroy of their own. A friendly bear. Supply them with buttons and ask what color is Corduroys overall, how many buttons are needed and have them draw the eyes nose and mouth.

Activity: remind your child what thanksgiving is about. Giving thanks! Ask them what they are Thankful for and do the activities as follow: 

Making a Turkey out of their hands. 
Supplies:  Scissors, glue and construction papers 
cut out these pieces(it doesn't have to be perfect)
Have the children Glue the pieces 
and then you'll have your turkey.

cut out the pieces and have the children glue them up.


And you'll have your corn.
