Sensory Play: Invite children to play, set up a bowl with rice, water or flour. If you use water you can add glitter, food coloring or even paint to make it more fun. Ask the children to just play and feel how soothing it is. Also, allow children to use toy tools or kitchen tools so that they can play using the sensory materials. During this activity children will explore the properties of the pourable materials on the table as well as the materials for scooping and pouring such as cups, scoops and shovels. You can use it that a calming exercises or a way to keep children entertained.
