Week of 10/28 -11/1

Weekly Reminders!
  • School closed for Universal Pre-k on October 30th 
  • Halloween Event October 31st children may dress-up in costume. Parade will be held parents welcomed for parade. After parents leave and children stay to participate in party and costume contest.

Learning centers available for children 

Blocks:
The teacher will invite children to explore a few unit blocks and show them where to find them in the classroom. The children will be encouraged to match the unit blocks to the outline on the shelves. 

Art:
The children will be invited to the art center to explore a paint container, a paint brush and paper. She will model how to dip a brush in paint and paint a few brushstrokes on paper. The children will learn where to find these materials and what they should do when they finish painting. 

Sensory:
The children will be invited to explore a small amount of sand and a few toys. The children will learn where these materials can be found and how to follow safety reminders about sand use (ex: washing hands before and after sand use). 

Science:
The teacher will show children a collection of natural objects. The teacher will model how they might begin to explore some of the materials.  The children will learn where they can find these materials and how to put them away when finished. 

Math:
The teacher will invite children to the math center to explore puzzles. The teacher will model how to take a puzzle apart and how to put a few pieces together. 

Library:
The students will explore books
