Monday

Book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? By Bill Martin Jr & Eric Carle

Activity: Using the watercolor palette have you child illustrate something they see around them. 


Tuesday 

Book: Different? Same! by Heather Tekavec

Activity: Math have children compare and contrast things around the house. 


Wednesday

Book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? By Bill Martin Jr & Eric Carle

Activity: have the children match the crayons to the color of the animals and then color them. 


Thursday 

Book: Different? Same! by Heather Tekavec

Activity: Write the child's name with glue and have children use button, scraps of paper, pom poms to design their name. 


Friday 

Book: Corduroy by Don Freeman

Activity: Have children make a Corduroy of their own. A friendly bear. Supply them with buttons and ask what color is Corduroys overall, how many buttons are needed and have them draw the eyes nose and mouth.

Book: Don't Wake Up The Tiger By Britta Teckentrup
Questions: 
In the book the animals are carrying balloons. Where do you think they are going?

What happened to the fox’s balloon?

The animals are working together to get over Tiger. Why did the animals need to get over Tiger?


Activity: 
please have children draw an ice-cream and draw someone the they would like to share their ice-cream with.

Activity: speak to your children about caring for others and doing nice things, remind them that you care about them very much. Also remind them of all the nice things you do for them. 
Allow your child to think of al the nice things that has been done for them and the nice things they have done.
Ask them to draw a picture

Activity: remind your child what thanksgiving is about. Giving thanks! Ask them what they are Thankful for and do the activities as follow: 

Making a Turkey out of their hands. 
Supplies:  Scissors, glue and construction papers 
cut out these pieces(it doesn't have to be perfect)
Have the children Glue the pieces 
and then you'll have your turkey. 



you can also make corn
cut out the pieces and have the children glue them up.


And you'll have your corn.

Water: please hand a bin (with water in it) to your child, hand them some water toys rubber ducky, boats etc.
Allow them to play for a while, it will help with their sensory.

Sensory: During sensory play children may play with play-dough. 
Have children make their favorite pet using play-dough. 
Children may also play with water, allow them to play with soap and washable materials from.

Painting:  Hand children blue paint and have them paint anything that has to do with water. rain, an ocean, river, a shower. 
Ask children what they have made and write it down.

Early Dismissal is not permitted for children who have doctor appointments. If your child has a doctors appointment he/she is to attend virtually for the day. 

November 13th, 12:00 noon early dismissal for virtual parent teacher conferences.

  • The boy in this book was scared of many things. What are some of the things that made him scared?
  • The boy was scared of big dogs. When he made a new dog friend he stopped being scared, he overcame his fear. He was also scared of the dark. What helped him stop being scared, or overcome his fear of the dark?
  • Are you scared of anything? What might help you stop being scared?


Activities 

Write the word Brave on a construction paper.  

Have your child draw a picture of what makes them Brave.
