Activity:have children pick one color and find different things around home that are the color of their choice, make a list of what they have discovered and have them draw which they liked best.

Wednesday 

Book: Have You Seen My Monster? by Steve Light

Activity: have children play with shapes, counting how many sides the shapes have in total.

Thursday 

Book: Float by Daniel Miyares

Activity: Have children fill up a bucket of water and play with a few water toys. 

Ask them questions like: does it sink? Does it float? What happens if? What do you notice?  I wonder what happens if....?

BOOK: Best in snow by April Pulley Sayre

Activity: science: have children fill up a cup of water. Then simply place it in the freezer until it freezes. Next take it out and have children observe it. Ask the children to investigate what happened to the water. 


Tuesday 

BOOK: I Went Walking by Sue William

Activity: science: have your child pick an animal mentioned in the book and investigate information about the animal of his or her choice. Have children draw a picture and please write the details you child notices about the animal.

Book: Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! by Bob Barner

Activity: Math : counting bugs. have children gather a few toy bugs or toy animals and have them separate them in small groups and help them count how many they have.

Activity: Art: have children investigate what colors they can make by mixing colors.
