How can we take care of others?

Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:
  1. Who tried to make baby Louise feel better?
  2. Who helped baby Louise stop crying?
  3. Daniel was very good at taking care of Louise, making her feel better, and stop crying. What are some things you do very well?


Suggested Text 
  1. Wilson cares about Gigi and wants to help fix her house because it needs some repairs. What are some of the things Wilson wants to do?
  2. Think about the people in your life. What are some of the things they do to take care of you?
  3. Do you ever help take care of other people? What are some things you do to take care of other people?
Activity
Collect different recycle items, boxes, cardboard, toilet paper roll, and more.. invite your child to use his or her imagination to create a vehicle, a form or transportation that is used in the city. 

Suggested questions during activity

• Look at what happens when you __________.

MONDAY

Math: Grab a few items from home, kitchen tools makeup tool whatever may grab you children interest, can even be their toys. Invite them to discuss different things they notice about the tools. Ask them to try to make a pattern with the tools in front of them or ask them to count. If they need help lead them. Repeat a few times 

Open ended questions:
  • You are __________. • How do you know?
  • Let’s count these together. • Look at this pattern.
  • Are these the same or different? How do you know?
  • I noticed this is _________ and this is ___________. Why did you do that?
  • You put _______ here and _____ here. Why did you choose to put ____
    there?
