Question for the Week:
Can you name the parts of our bodies ? How do they move?

Weekly Foundational Read-Aloud:

Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:
  1. The babies are moving in lots of ways. How do you like to move your body?
  2. Can you wiggle the toes inside your shoes like the babies?
  3. One of the babies fell. How do you think the baby felt when it fell? Why?


Suggested Text 
Making Faces: A First Book of Emotions  by Abrams Appleseed

Supply your child with writing materials, paper, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, etc. Let your child experiment with making marks on paper to express ideas as they are ready. 

Suggested questions during activity
 I see you are ________. • Tell me about your work.
• You are making (curvy, zigzag, straight, etc.) lines.

• I see other (curvy, zigzag, straight, etc.) in our home (indicate).

Learn at Home activity for today:
Monday: 
Sun, Moon and Stars:

Use a search engine to find satellite pictures of the sun, moon and various stars. Show your child how to find a few letters on the keyboard as you use them.

Questions to ask your child:
I notice that you ____. 
How did you figure that out? 
What will you do next? 
What if you try ____? 
How could you ____?
