Week of 10/26 - 10/30

 Morning Zoom Meeting at 8:30am everyday 


Reminders:

Early Dismissal is not permitted for children who have doctor appointments. If your child has a doctors appointment he/she is to attend virtually for the day. 

Children may wear costumes Friday. 

November 13th, 12:00 noon early dismissal for virtual parent teacher conferences.

  • Teachers will be working closely with children, to help them find things they like or dislike.

Activities 

Blocks: have your child explore blocks, you can hand then cardboard boxes or lego's. Let them work in their building then ask questions. Be sure to ask open-ended questions to keep conversations going with your child.

  • What are some of the feelings the girl in this book has in her heart?
  • How does the girl in this book feel when her heart is yelling hot and loud?
  • Sometimes the girl in this book feels happy. What makes you happy?
  • How does your heart feel today? Why?

Activities 

Math: Have your child choose to colors of construction paper, cut out a few heart shapes with your child. Demonstrate what a pattern is. Have them replicate the pattern on their own piece of paper and glue it.

Scaredy Cat Splat by Rob Scotton 

Art: have children draw or paint a picture of what they will be dressing upon for Halloween.

Art: Cut out paper in the shape of a ghost the children put glue over it and paste cotton balls all over.
