How to make Play-dough at home

With younger children it is important for them to have a visual of things to follow so that it becomes more understanding for them, as well as repetition.

For example how to use the bathroom and how to wash your hands are important.

  • What are the trucks used for?

Blocks: They may begin to create enclosures and start to explore concepts of sorting, ordering, counting, one to one correspondence, size and shape. Later, children begin to combine structures and build vertically. Additionally, their block play may become more social in nature. Hand your children Blocks, Lego, or any building materials that you may find around the house. Let them explore the objects and observe what they do.

Ask them open-ended questions like:

 • I notice that you ____.

• This reminds me of ________.

• You put this ______ here and this _______ here.

• You are ____. Last time you played here you______. I wonder _________.

Every child is at different developmental levels whatever your child creates is great do not tell them what to do or do it for them, it will just hold them back.
